ABOUT DEE DAY
Dee Day was born Danny Rogers on June 1, 1989 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has taken the struggle of growing up in the south and transformed it into a lyrical landscape. The early influences and motivation of the late Notorious BIG and hip hop lyricist Nas, have helped develop his style of positive rapping through thought provoking rhymes.
Dee started performing on the big stage at an early age. So there's no surprise that he's recently graced the stage with Juicy J, Machine Gun Kelly and more. His strength as a performer goes far beyond the studio, and his ability to engage and captivate an audience has allowed him to open for artists such as Rick Ross. Additionally, Dee Day has collaborated with Kevin Gates, Live Sosa, Kidd Kidd and more.
Dee Day won The Source Magazine's Freestyle contest and has been featured in Hip Hop Weekly's Next to Blow section. Dee has appeared on BETs’ 106 and Park, MTV and UPN. The King of the South, T. I., was quoted saying “Dee is the future of New Orleans Rap”.
Currently, Dee Day is most noted for his two mix tapes hosted by Don Cannon and he's on tour around the country promoting his new music!
