The Breaks On Me....
Well. Lets be real here. I'm not going to bore you with a life story but I won't give you a small chunk of unorganized facts about me. So I'll just start off by saying this...
- His name is Dj-V, he comes from Santa Clara, CA, but he lived in a bunch of places such as Cincinnati, OH , Queens, NY , and Orlando, FL. Coming up, music was always in the household whether it came to his mom's old school collection playing throughout the house or his dad making beats on a Casio keyboard. The crazy thing is that he's been doing this since 4th grade and so far he feels like he came a long way from that kid who used to rhyme about cartoons. He could describe his style as a voice of the Come-Up, an underground element who got put down alot, or just a angry ass kid with a brain full of bars and concepts, ya know, like that real young Eminem vibe when "The Marshall Mathers LP" dropped. Except he puts his own style and lyrics to everything that is made up of his past memories, mistakes, and the times people would put him down mentally and emotionally. The name Dj-V is composed of his childhood nickname "Dj" and a quote he made in class, "Victory Through Vengeance". What does it mean? As his social life got tough coming up, people would say he couldn't do alot and only few said he could, he always thought that his path was more like a means for showing them he could and getting back at them and once that opportunity finally comes he feel like it may be the biggest victory of my life. Once he pieced together that quote in class it felt like an mental tattoo ya know? After so much writing and preparation he released my first mixtape in 2013 titled "Who Is Dj-V:The Mixtape" which had 10 tracks of him rapping to industry beats, it was more like a test flight to see where my skills were really at in music ya know? After that he created a mixtape series called "MANIAC" which allowed him to kick off the first chapter, "MANIAC:The Mixtape" in early 2014 and then the second installment "MANIAC 2:RESURRECTION" in late 2014. He felt like they weren't at the full potential that his new mixtape "MANIAC 3:RESISTANCE" is at because of the content and quality so he looks at my career as more of a growth now. So the overview of it all, is that I'm just young, wild, and ambitious with a flame in my heart. I have been doing this for a while and I really have no plan in stopping what so ever. His newest project "MANIAC 3:RESISTANCE" releases on November 5, 2015 on Soundcloud, Bandcamp, and other music platforms across the web. As you follow the MANIAC and his quest for something better, you will see something better than most could ever piece together. Horror Flick.
