Eric Bush aka 'ericdprince' was born in Virginia and quickly after was moved around over and over again in his youth, all over the world due to his parents affiliation with the military. He has lived in North Carolina, Missouri, Alabama, Washington State, Tennessee, Texas, went to middle school in Germany, and High School in Seoul, South Korea, and finally settling down in Columbus, Georgia. Though he has been blessed enough to experience different cultures, meet different people, and broaden his horizons', ericdprince has had his share of good times and bad times just like everybody else. Living with extended family for years at a time while his mother was serving tours in Iraq or wearing the same 3 pairs of clothes for weeks at a time with a TV box for a dresser and closet. He has no complaints though as everything has made ericdprince into a well diverse, cultured, and open-minded person, which he also tries to express through his music. However, ericdprince's dive into music really didn't begin until he attended Seoul American High School for Sophomore year.
While in high school ericdprince experienced the feeling of being an Outkast, as he was the only African American, or one of few, in many of his classes, particularly the Honor's and Advanced Placement classes that he took. To help cope he either played video games, played sports, or was writing music with his little crew of friends. As small as the clique was, they taught ericdprince how to keep it true and real with others regardless of where one comes from or things that they have and haven't experienced, and also exposed ericdprince to just how fake and UN-real many other people tend to act. It was around this time that ericdprince realized that many people ten to lie about what they do or have done, in order to fit in, to feel accepted, this is the basis for ericdprince's musical stlye now and the message that he hopes to portray with all that he does. Seoul American High School's location on a military base brought about people from many different facets of life. As such, ericdprince had the chance to meet many different music-minded individuals. It was here that he met with Dj Mace Beatz, and Dj 32 Levels whom would first expose him to go from just freestyling to actually recording tracks. Though at this time in his life ericdprince didn't take his music seriously, it was just something to keep him occupied and past the time. After graduating from Seoul American High School, ericdprince then went on to a failed and very party hardy year at the University of Tennessee.
While in college ericdprince further dabbled in making music recording here and there, however he still didn't actively pursue music. It was at the University of Tennessee ericdprince was able to further see the thin line between 'real' and 'fake' which helped further define his rapping ability, and overall philosophy musically and personally as well. After a failed year at college, enough partying, and some dumb luck dodging police and campus authorities, ericdprince relocated and settled down in Columbus, Georgia.
While in Columbus, Georgia ericdprince, mostly for a lack of activities to do, started to take music serious as a potential career. He begin rapping only about things that he has done, experienced, and lived. He met Shawdy GA who took him to his first 'real' studio recording session. From that day forward, ericdprince has maintained his mindset of keeping it true, real, and authentic in everything that he does. #RNG
