His new album “The Buck’nEar” showcases his diversity and ability to blend a variety of genres in a cohesive manner. Having already gained the attention of a variety of national radio stations, the artist continues to gain exposure worldwide. Truly a one of a kind release, “The Buck’nEar” is the result of a 10-year project to highlight the strength, diversity, and creativity of an artist with a vast appreciation of music.
Greenville, North Carolina, April 27, 2012 – The Bahamian roots of Raw.B makes his music one that is eclectic and a style that fits in perfectly with the mainstream hip hop sound. With a focus on creativity and lyrical content, his newest release “The Buck’nEar” refuses to adhere to watered down conventions and stay in one place. Having grown up in a country where hip hop and reggae are musical staples, the transition to the mainstream hip hop vein was a seamless one for Raw.B. His music was able to gain a great deal of exposure after only a few hundred mixtapes were distributed on the streets of North Carolina as well as digitally via datpiff.com.
Within a week, his Facebook fan page had jumped to 500 followers and his Twitter had amassed over 5000. Raw.B also drew the attention of radio stations from across the country. Drawn to the artist for his diversity, his latest release covers a variety of hard hitting topics using a number of genres and musical techniques. He shares lyrics about family turmoil and life altering experiences, plus light hearted odes to thick white girls and Bahamian strip clubs, each possessing its own blend of genres and styles.
His rhythm and wide variety of experiences in music and life is what makes “The Buck’nEar” an album unlike any other. The 10 year recording process brought Raw.B to a number of recording studios large and small in both the Bahamas and United States. Engineered with professionalism and efficiency, the album’s production presents a clean sound which complements the different musical styles and clearly delivers the unique lyrical presentation.
Currently working on boosting his digital presence, Raw.B has released the reggae/rock/hip hop single “Early Bird” online. This track will be on the follow-up album to “The Buck’nEar” titled “Barack Oh Bahama” set to be released in summer 2012. “The Buck’nEar” is currently available on Amazon and iTunes and is being added to other distributors worldwide.
